Alexander Soetaert


Alexander Soetaert studied history at the KU Leuven, graduating with a master’s thesis on urban floods in early modern cities. Since 2013 he has been working on a research project on Catholic literature and transregional exchange in the Ecclesiastical Province of Cambrai (French-speaking parts of the Low Countries) between 1559 and 1659, supervised by Violet Soen and Johan Verberckmoes. The defense of his dissertation on the same topic is scheduled for 23 May 2017.
