The exhibition Verbum Domini Manet in Aeternum, now running at the Museum of the University of Wroclaw, is accompanied by a beautiful catalogue.
The exhibition and the catalogue present selected church buildings from Austria, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Great Britain, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Slovenia, Sweden, and Switzerland. It consist of phtographs taken by participants of the project “Protestant church architecture of the 16th-18th centuries in Europe” during study trips between 2013 and 2016.
In the selection of photographs the organizers wish to show the broadest possible spectrum of buildings – from monumental cathedrals and major city churchs, to small, humble country churches and tiny chapels hidden inside castle walls. These edifices share a single important characteristic: for centuries they were and continue to be “houses of prayer for all people”.
